An AI-ready source of truth for product design at scale

My role

Design Lead for MyAccount

Scope

Multi-squad initiative unifying production design documentation, UI standards and AI-consumable design systems.

  • Established a centralised system for production-ready design and flows

  • Reduced rebuild work across multiple squads

  • Improved consistency, onboarding speed, and frontline accuracy

  • Created a foundation for scalable + AI-ready design practices

Snapshot

As the organisation scaled, design work became fragmented across squads and Figma files.

  • No reliable “source of truth” for production UI

  • PMs, engineers, and frontline teams struggled to find current flows

  • Designers frequently rebuilt existing work unknowingly

  • Inconsistent documentation led to drift across products and teams

What started as a “Figma problem” was actually a scaling problem in disguise.

Situation

At the same time, AI tools and automation were starting to change how design gets produced and raising the need for:

  • structured components

  • consistent naming

  • reliable patterns

  • production-grade documentation

This wasn’t just cleanup. It was design infrastructure for scale.

Opportunity

  • Collaborating across 6 squads to create one single view of our products

  • Managing workload and making sure team stay’s on the track

  • Hands on guidance to my design squads to ensure we’re working in a uniform way

Approach

  • Created a centralised Storefront for production-ready flows, UI states and accessibility guidance—giving teams a trusted view of what was actually live.

  • Established shared standards for structure, naming, components and documentation, making work easier to find, understand and reuse across squads.

Solution

50%

reduction in request for “production design screens”.

Outcome

90%

of production UI screens documented an accessible.

100%

embedded as a standard ways of working across squads

Modern design systems make design reusable, consistent, and consumable by both teams and AI.
